New Design Book Born from Decades of Research

It took me 40+ years dreaming design, over 8 years of research, 360 interviews with designers worldwide, hundreds of books reviewed, plenty of academic papers, almost 20 international talks, several workshops and countless hours in front of the keyboard to write and design this book.

The final outcome is based on all of these interactions and it is constructed upon the collective knowledge and experience that the design community has expressed and created throughout the evolution of our discipline. So basically what you will find here is a compendium of the major areas of interest of designers as a collective. Meaning that many of the ideas you will find here will certainly resonate with your own, but be prepared because many won't.

As a diverse community, we may agree on many things and we will also certainly disagree on many others. In this book you will find both, and my voice is clearly presented as well. I take a strong stance on many ethical and disciplinary matters, making this book a personal statement as well. Both the community and also myself are going to be present throughout the journey your reading will bring you through.

I strongly believe that the designer you are now will be profoundly transformed at the very end. Maybe you will regret reading it and wish you never knew about it, but be sure that your ideas and understanding of Design will change. I don't pretend that they become in alignment with mine, I just want you to question the status quo. The times we are living in demand you do.
